1. Why use SciTechEdit International?
To stay competitive, scientists must publish in English language journals. We will edit your manuscript to help you communicate your findings, ideas, and interpretations clearly and concisely. Respected journals report that as many as 85% of submitted papers are not accepted for publication, in part because the ideas and results are not clearly communicated. The editor of a respected international journal reports that quality editing can more than double your chances of publishing your manuscript. The editors at SciTechEdit International excel at helping you publish your findings.
SciTechEdit International has been in business since 1997. Our editors are doctoral level, published scientists in all areas of the Life Sciences. Two editors will edit each manuscript until the manuscript is polished, clear, and concise. We edit over 300 papers a year, therefore our editors have a vast amount of experience. We work closely with each author throughout the editing process and are available to our clients 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Questions are always welcome. Our goal is to help our clients produce the very best manuscript.

2. Who will edit my manuscript?
At SciTechEdit International, your manuscript is edited and reviewed by professional scientists who have published in peer-reviewed journals and who have served as reviewers for a variety of scientific and technical journals. Editors who are not scientists often misconstrue the original intent of the paper. Our editors have doctorates in a wide variety of scientific fields, with expertise in helping you to convey your original meaning.

3. Why do you use two editors?
The first highly qualified professional editor performs the initial editing and a second equally qualified editor will compare the edited version to the original for accuracy, completeness, misinterpretations, style, etc. to ensure the highest quality product. The two editors work together to provide you the best possible services.

4. How will my manuscript be edited?
Each manuscript is first reviewed by a senior managing editor to determine which team of science editors are best suited to edit the manuscript. The manuscript is then repeatedly edited by the team of science editors (a minimum of 4 times) until the manuscript is polished, clear, and concise. The manuscript is returned to the managing editor and then returned to the client. Editors communicate with you as necessary throughout the editing process.

7. What is the best file format to use?

8. When sending my file via electronic mail, why does it have to be encoded?
Most modern E-Mail programs do this automatically and you will not need to worry about how your file is encoded. However, if you are unfamiliar with the terms BINHEX, MIME, or UUENCODE, you may want to read the following paragraph. Files sent as attachments via Electronic Mail are treated as "Pure Text Documents". Modern word processing programs have sophisticated formatting codes that might be lost when the file is sent as an attachment. Encoding the file prevents this from occurring. We find that using either BINHEX, MIME, or UUENCODE work the best. If you have any questions regarding how to encode your file, please click here to contact us or use the World Wide Web Submission Forms to avoid encoding your file altogether.
